We are partners of RIPRESO , an Operating Group of the Emilia-Romagna Region that aims to optimize the economic performance of wineries through the use of remote sensing data functional to the site-specific application of inputs. Through a more widespread diffusion of precision viticulture, the Plan intends to combine elements of technological innovation and winemaking tradition, in order to harmonize often divergent concepts such as efficiency, productivity, high quality standards and reduced environmental impact.
The project is divided into a series of actions aimed at:
- Identify a management strategy aimed at uniform vineyard variability to maximize the efficiency of exogenous inputs, improve productivity and quality of productions and reduce the environmental impact of viticulture;
- Reduce the use of copper through a variable rate defense strategy based on the adjustment of the volume of spraying in a manner proportional to the vigor of the canopy detected in real time by a proximity sensor;
- Promote selective harvesting , be it manual or mechanical, as a double tool for enhancement of variability for production diversification and qualification as well as adaptation to climate change.
The project is funded with a total contribution of € 178,398.94 from FEASR , as part of the Regional Rural Development Program 2014-2020 Emilia - Romagna - Type of operation 16.1.01 - Operational Groups of the European Partnership for Innovation: "Productivity and sustainability of agriculture" - Focus Area 2A - Project "RIPRESO ", Application for support no. 5149719
